CURRY IN KAP’S CAMP

On the first Sunday of the NFL season, Colin Kaepernick was notably still not signed, and Stephen Curry took note.

The Golden State Warriors star, who was on hand to watch his local 49ers take on the Panthers, posted an Instagram photo of the sidelines with the caption “#FreeKaep.”

The former 49ers quarterback, who caused a firestorm by taking a knee during the national anthem last season to protest police brutality, has not been picked up by a team.

And things aren’t looking bright in the quarterback department for San Francisco, which lost 23-3 to Carolina in the opener. In his 49er debut, Brian Hoyer threw for just 193 yards and committed two turnovers.
