Tim who? All but silent on her VP pick

- Jason Silverstein

THE MAN WHO would have been Hillary Clinton’s vice president can’t even get her book now.

Clinton’s 2016 running mate Tim Kaine said he didn’t get an advance copy of her campaign memoir “What Happened” — and the book itself barely acknowledges his role as the candidate’s righthand man.

“I haven’t (read it), but I’m psyched,” the Virginia senator told NBC News Tuesday.

“I’ve seen stories about it, but the excerpts are not necessarily the fair reflection of the whole thing, so I’m excited to read it.”

Kaine said he planned to buy the book since he never had a copy sent to him. He’ll have to read it closely.Kaine is only mentioned eight times in the 500-page tome — fewer times than George W. Bush, Elizabeth Warren and the Soviet Union.

Clinton’s most extensive comments about him come in a paragraph explaining why she picked him as her No. 2. She cites his “executive experience,” his “reputation for decency and good judgment” and his fluency in Spanish.“Also, I liked him a lot,” she writes.
