Break-in lands cop in trouble

AN INTERNAL Affairs Bureau cop who left her gun, bulletproof vest, police radio and other equipment in her unlocked car has been suspended — after a thief stole it all, police sources said.

Milagros Torres, 38, parked her 2016 Honda Civic on Waverly Ave. in Clinton Hill early Saturday. When she returned to her car that afternoon, she found it ransacked, and the trunk emptied, the sources said.

The thief took Torres’ Smith & Wesson service weapon and three magazines of ammunition, as well as her bullet-proof vest, department-issued radio and phone, handcuffs, baton and pepper spray, sources said.

A security camera caught the thief in action, sources said.

The 13-year NYPD veteran thought she had locked the car, but police found no signs it had been broken into, sources said.

Milagros was suspended for “failure to safeguard department property,” sources said.
