18 yrs. in carjack shoot

A QUEENS carjacker who shot a woman in the chest when she wouldn’t hand over her purse was sentenced Thursday to 18 years in prison.

Brooklyn Federal Judge Ann Donnelly sentenced Donald Warren, 55, for December 2015 and January 2016 carjackings — including the attack on a 53-year-old Maryland mother at a hotel near Kennedy Airport. On Thursday, the woman told Donnelly about the anguish and pain the attack caused her. She said there was “no magic pill that erases memory.”

Warren did the crimes with another man, John Howard, who has pleaded guilty and is awaiting sentencing.
