Guilty in bid to have sex with ‘teen’

A BROOKLYN MAN has been found guilty of meeting with an undercover cop he believed was a 14-year-old girl who wanted to have sex with him, prosecutors said Friday.

Eslam Abdeledayem, 33, of Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, was convicted in Queens Criminal Court on Thursday.

Prosecutors said Abdeledayem reached out a person he thought was a 14-year-old Queens girl.

Abdeledayem started instant messaging the undercover officer in May 2014 and they began texting after that.

Those texts soon turned sexually explicit — with Abdeledayem sending a picture of his genitals, according to court papers.

The two agreed to meet in Queens on June 11, 2014. When Abdeledayem showed up, he was arrested by the officer.
