Kimmel rips bill-bull pols & Fox ‘creep’

- Nicole Bitette

JIMMY KIMMEL doubled down on his criticism of Sen. Bill Cassidy’s newly proposed health care bill — and smacked down “Fox and Friends” host Brian Kilmeade at the same time.

The late night TV host brought up his infant son’s open-heart surgery Wednesday night and referenced what Cassidy had dubbed the “Jimmy Kimmel Test” on an appearance on his show — which is that no family or child should be refused health care because they can’t afford it.

Kimmel pointed out that the bill Lindsey Graham and Cassidy proposed is set to do all the things he said he wouldn’t let states do. Cassidy insisted earlier in the day that his bill would protect everyone, Kimmel just didn’t understand it.

Kimmel fired back that Cassidy “either doesn’t understand his own bill — or he lied to me. It’s as simple as that.”

He also called out Kilmeade, who’d called Kimmel a member of the “Hollywood elite” who was “pushing” politics on his show.

Kimmel called Kilmeade a “phony little creep” who’d previously asked him to write a blurb for his book and asked his agent for help with a project.

Kilmeade complained on Fox he’d been “personally attacked,” but said of Kimmel, “I hope your son gets better.”
