CIA gal Plame spreads screed attacking Jews
FORMER CIA agent Valerie Plame has apologized after sharing an article on Twitter that accused American Jews of warmongering against Iran.
“America’s Jews Are Driving America’s Wars” reads the title of an article on former California gubernatorial candidate Ron Unz’s online magazine, The Unz Review. “Jewish groups and deep-pocket individual donors not only control the politicians, they own and run the media and entertainment industries,” the article’s author, Philip Giraldi, wrote.
The article says Jewish Americans should recuse themselves from foreign policy decisions involving Israel, and that supporters of the Middle Eastern country should be labeled “Jewish and an outspoken supporter of the state of Israel” for TV appearances.
Among those named in the article is Scooter Libby, a former chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney who was convicted in the “Plamegate” leak but had his sentence commuted by George W. Bush.
Plame (photo) initially defended herself against Twitter outrage on Thursday, but later changed her tune.
“OK folks, look, I messed up. I skimmed this piece, zeroed in on the neocon criticism, and shared it without seeing and considering the rest,” she wrote.
