Wife arrested in broomstick bash

AN OFF-DUTY NYPD school crossing guard was arrested for attacking her husband with a broomstick on Staten Island, cops said Saturday.

Olga Perez, 70, was arguing with her 54-year-old husband inside their home near Nicholas and Charles Aves. in Elm Park about 11 p.m. on Friday when she grabbed the broomstick and struck him in the arm and chest with it, police said.

When police arrived, Perez’s husband complained of pain to his forearm and upper shoulder, but did not have visible injuries, police said.

Cops charged Perez with felony assault, misdemeanor assault and harassment.

Her arraignment was pending in Staten Island Criminal Court on Saturday.
