Acid attackers hurt 6 in London
SIX PEOPLE were injured in a series of acid attacks at a busy London shopping center Saturday, authorities said.
Metropolitan Police officers responded about 8 p.m. to a “group of males spraying what was believed to be a noxious substance” at different locations in Stratford, authorities said.
Police do not believe the incident is terror-related.
Witnesses said the attacks took place after an argument broke out among a group of people, reported The Daily Telegraph of London.
Police arrested one man on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm — and were searching for others.
The victims’ injuries were nonlife-threatening.
The attack occurred after a similar attack in France left two American students injured.
