Waitress cut up by knife maniac outside hotspot
A NEW New Yorker got the scare of her life when she was slashed by a man outside Nobu Downtown restaurant for no apparent reason.
Tova Gold, 28, had just ended her waitress shift and was outside the lower Broadway restaurant about 8:05 p.m. Friday when the attacker approached.
“Don’t move,” the man said. But it was too late — Gold felt pain and realized she was bleeding from a 6-inch gash on her right shoulder.
She said she fought the man off, but he shoved her to the ground and casually walked off.
“Who knows what would’ve happened if I hadn’t pushed him off?” said Gold, who recently moved here from Houston with her husband.
Mark Hunte*r, 43, of Brooklyn, was busted a few minutes later. Gold was treated at Downtown Hospital, where doctors needed 14 stitches to close the wound (photo).
