CLEVER TREVOR

-

“The Daily Show” executive producer

admitted that when newly installed host (above) predicted

would win the election as early as the fall of 2015, he thought Noah was crazy and even secondguessed Noah being hired.

“The guy sees things that are obviously not true,” Bodow remembered thinking, he said at a Tribeca TV Festival panel. To that, the South African-born comedian retorted: “I didn’t know he’d win. I just saw that he was winning.” Noah went on to describe President Trump as “the most dishonest, authentic person you will ever come across in your life. He can tell a string of lies, but in a way that feels real, and that’s what he’s good at doing. He connects with people below the surface . . . . Don’t be shocked if Donald Trump gets a second term.”

Comedy Central recently announced that Noah will remain on as the host of “The Daily Show” through 2022, ensuring he’ll be around to see if his prediction of a second Trump term comes true.
