Tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins is close to 30 pounds lighter this season than he was in 2016. He committed to a healthier lifestyle and gave up alcohol in the offseason.
After serving a two-game suspension to begin 2017 — the result of a DUI arrest a year ago — Seferian-Jenkins made his regularseason debut for the Jets Sunday and enjoyed the benefits of his transformation.
“You’re obviously quicker. You don’t get as fatigued as quickly,” Seferian-Jenkins said.”It’s really just playing in a whole different body, a whole different body type. It was a lot nicer to be able to run around there and feel good and confident about my cuts and blocking and my movement. So it was really cool.” ...
