W.H. probe into emails
THE WHITE HOUSE has launched an internal investigation into staffers using personal emails to conduct government business, according to a report.
The effort began after it was revealed Jared Kushner, senior adviser and son-in-law to President Trump, and other White House officials used private emails for work-related matters, Politico reported Thursday.
The White House counsel’s office is filtering through the accounts to see if any of the messages are relevant to other investigations, including special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe, officials told the site.
First Daughter Ivanka Trump, Kushner’s wife, also used her private email for government work after her father took office in January, according to Newsweek.
