BRAVE FACE OF FONDA
Fresh off putting the kibosh on “Today” host
question about plastic surgery, said “thank you” later that night when reporters complimented her for her composure.
The two-time Oscar winner, who turns 80 in December, spoke to us at the MoMA premiere of “Our Souls at Night.” Fonda said as she gets older, she’s become “less concerned about pleasing (people), but trying to do it with grace and compassion.” The star also said she’s become bolder. “What have you got to lose?” she asked. “I’ve lived a long life, what have you got to lose by being brave?”
On Tuesday’s “Today” show, Kelly seemd to offend Fonda by asking her — but not her 81-yearold co-star
(above with her) — to talk about plastic surgery. Fonda brushed off the question and talked about her new Netflix movie instead.
It was a rough first week on “Today” for newcomer Kelly, whose Monday guest,
later expressed regret for appearing with the divisive former Fox News host.
