‘Note’ from late ex blasts Carrey
JIM CARREY exposed his late ex to drugs, STDs and mental abuse without any regard for how it all affected her, according to an iPad note allegedly penned by his former girlfriend in 2013.
Michael Avenatti — the attorney representing the estranged husband and mother of Carrey’s ex, Cathriona White — released the explosive note Friday, claiming it was written in White’s words and was recently discovered on her iPad.
In the message dated April 8, 2013, White — who took her own life in September 2015 — accuses the actor of a pattern destructive behavior.
“Before you I might not have had very much but I had respect,” the lengthy letter reads. “I met you, you introduced me to cocaine, prostitutes, mental abuse and disease.”
It’s unclear if this letter was ever sent to Carrey, or if there’s proof White was the one who wrote it.
White’s estranged husband, Mark Burton, and mother, Brigid Sweetman, are suing Carrey for wrongful death.
