The Giants overreacted to Adams’ struggles late last season after an encouraging rookie year, benched him for their playoff game in Green Bay and got their secondary shredded, surrendering 38 points. A healthy Darian Thompson hasn’t gotten the job done this season, including a handful of missed tackles in Philadelphia, and so Spagnuolo acknowledged Adams will play more Sunday in Tampa. Adams, undrafted out of UConn, knows the defense and plays well off of All-Pro Landon Collins.
