Russia ads aimed at Mich., Wis.
RUSSIAN-LINKED Facebook ads targeted voters in Michigan and Wisconsin, a pair of states crucial to President Trump’s election victory last year, according to a report Tuesday.
The ads were tailored and meant to target specific demographics in each state, with some including racist antiMuslim messages, according to CNN. Trump carried both states by less than 1%. Both special counsel Robert Mueller and congressional committees are seeking to determine whether the Russians received any help from Trump associates on where to target the ads.
Earlier this week, Facebook revealed that roughly 10 million users saw political ads purchased by Moscowlinked players during the 2016 election.
