Protesting Prez’s P.R. follies

PRESIDENT Trump’s Puerto Rico visit did nothing to silence the critics who said the White House should be doing more to help victims of last month’s Hurricane Maria.

A day after video surfaced of the President chucking rolls of paper towels into a crowd at a San Juan relief center, scores of New Yorkers protested his response to the crisis in Foley Square Wednesday.

The paper towel tossing “shows you how this administration views us, and it shows us that we cannot forget what is happening right now,” said state Sen. Gustavo Rivera, who was born and raised in Puerto Rico.

He was among dozens of elected officials, labor leaders and Puerto Rican flagwaving New Yorkers who called for more urgent action.
