Yanks troll LeBron before start of ALDS
The Yankees beat the Indians in the shade department before the AL Division Series began. On Thursday morning, the Bombers tweeted out a picture of a beaming LeBron James proudly holding up a Yankees hat while in the stands.
The photograph is actually from 10 years ago, during Game 1 of the 2007 ALDS between — you guessed it — the Yankees and Indians. It’s the last time the two teams met in the postseason, and Cleveland ended up winning the series, 3-1. Of course, the Cavs superstar was singing a different tune last season, sporting Indians gear during the World Series against the Cubs, even pumping up the crowd before games.
James was at Thursday’s series opener. He was shown on the jumbotron with his Cavs teammates in a luxury box. He was not sporting a Yankee cap or any Indians attire for that matter, opting for a red “WITNESS” Nike hoodie. — Amara Grautski
