Brooklyn teen charged in shooting
A TEENAGER was indicted on Friday for opening fire outside a Brooklyn subway station, where he wounded a man and grazed a toddler.
Lyemel Summerville, 19, shot at a 20-year-old man he argued with at the Sutter Ave. No. 3 train station in Brownsville on Aug, 19, authorities said. The bullet went through the man’s leg and grazed the knee of a 2-year-old boy who was sitting in his stroller as it was being pushed by his grandfather.
Both victims were rushed to a nearby hospital. The baby was treated and released while the older man spent several days being treated, prosecutors said.
Summerville is charged with attempted murder, assault and weapons possession. He is being held on $50,000 bond.
