Arrest in slay at project in Bronx
COPS HAVE arrested a 27-yearold man they say shot and killed an older rival outside a Bronx housing project where both men lived.
Kameke Jones is facing murder charges in the killing of Gregory Washington, 41, outside the Pelham Parkway Houses on Williamsbridge Road near Stell Place in Allerton.
Police said Jones and an unidentified accomplice shot Washington in the chest and arm just before 11 p.m. last Sunday. Medics took Washington to Jacobi Medical Center, where he died the next day.
Members of the NYPD’s felony apprehension squad arrested Jones on Friday morning. His arraignment was pending Saturday.
