Trump hails self as genuine ‘faker’

FOR REAL: President Trump thinks he came up with the word “fake.”

Trump credited himself with creating one of his favorite words during a weekend interview with former Arkansas Gov. and presidential candidate Mike Huckabee.

The half-hour talk — which aired on the Christian network Trinity Broadcasting — captured Trump repeatedly praising and defending himself for some of his most recent controversies, including his paper towel tossing during his trip to storm-ravaged Puerto Rico.

“I think one of the greatest of all terms I’ve come up with is ‘fake,’ ” he told Huckabee.

Trump may have been referring to “fake news,” which originally referred to deliberate misinformation spread online, but which he uses to describe unflattering stories about his administration.
