Dolphins ‘line’ coach quits after snort clip

-

Miami Dolphins offensive line coach Chris Foerster announced on Monday that he is resigning after a video surfaced Sunday evening showing him snorting a white powdery substance.

Foerster snorts three lines of the substance through a rolled up $20 bill in the 56-second clip. It’s unknown when the video was recorded, but a source familiar with the Dolphins facility told The Miami Herald that it is inside a team office and that the desk is the same used by Miami coaches.

“Hey babe, miss you, thinking about you,” Foerster says before snorting the first line. “How about me going to a meeting and doing this before I go?”

The woman who posted the video said Foerster sent it to her “professing his love.”

In a Facebook post, Kijuana Nige, a Nevada model, refers to the substance as “blow,” a common slang term for cocaine, and slams those who are defending Foerster’s actions but criticizing black players who kneel during the national anthem.

The Mets are buying the Triple-A Syracuse Chiefs as they work toward centering more of their minor league baseball operations in their home state.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo confirmed the deal Monday, calling it “a home run that ensures the Chiefs stay right where they belong while the next generation of ‘amazin’ greats is fostered right here in central New York.” The Mets will make Syracuse their top minor league affiliate beginning in 2019. New York’s current Triple-A affiliate is in Las Vegas, and the distance has led to problems with quick call-ups after injuries and extrainning games.

Jake Allen made 40 saves on and Vladimir Tarasenko scored twice and again in the shootout to lift the visiting Blues past the Islanders 3-2 for their third straight victory to start the season. Brayden Schenn also scored in the shootout as the Blues managed to win after the Islanders tied it with two third-period goals.

The Isles have lost two of their first three games.

l Jesper Bratt had two goals and an assist in his second NHL game and the Devils earned a 6-2 victory in Buffalo to improve to 2-0.
