Souper stupor

Doused subway racist ‘getting help’

- BY GRAHAM RAYMAN Paul Lawson, hit with soup and pushed off train.

THE SUBWAY bigot who had soup dumped on him for a racist rant on an L train insisted Tuesday he’s “not that sorry,” according to a report.

Paul Lawson claimed he was “making a point” when he started shouting the slurs and said he went to NYU Law School on the train in Brooklyn on Saturday, Gothamist reported.

Lawson, 29, was caught on cell phone video using the N-word while clutching a Lime-a-Rita.

“I talk sh-- because I know I can! I’m a lawyer! I went to NYU Law! F--you!” he says.

But NYU Law School has no record of Lawson ever attending, a spokeswoman for the school said. By midday Tuesday, he had scrubbed that tidbit from his Facebook bio.

Lawson is shown hopping and singing the N-word Saturday in the video first posted by Joshua Pyne and obtained by the Daily News.

A group of straphangers surrounded him and pushed him from the train. As he tried to get back on, a woman lobbed a container of thick, orange Au Bon Pain soup at him.

“Yeah, get your hate speech out of here, F--- you!” she yelled.

In a series of since-deleted Facebook posts Tuesday, Lawson said, “For all those of you who saw that unfortunate video, I’m getting help and really don’t know how it came up in the first place.” He went on to say he was assaulted Sunday. “If it makes you feel any better I had my head broken open the next day, so there’s that,” Gothamist reported.
