WALK THIS WAY
There was no discipline for Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins after it appeared he walked out on his team last week while the game was still going on.
“Why would it be a punishment?” Jenkins asked Wednesday. “No comment.”
With about 40 seconds left and the Giants trailing the Chargers 29-22, head coach Ben McAdoo decided to call a timeout, but Jenkins was already walking toward the locker room. The veteran cornerback said it was just a misunderstanding.
“I didn’t expect a timeout would be called so I just walked in,” he said on Thursday. “Everybody was going on the field, the game was over and I just went in.”
Jenkins said McAdoo asked him about it on Tuesday and again on Thursday but said it was “nothing serious or anything.”
