CHARGERS at RAIDERS

4:25 p.m., Raiders by 3½, NL

-

HANK’S HONEYS: Derek Carr is expected to play but he’s going to have to play lights out to fix the mess the Raiders have put themselves in with three straight losses. While Carr rested, the team picked up several other injuries in that bad loss to the Ravens. The Chargers were a better team than their 0-4 record and they showed it against the Giants. The difference was Melvin Gordon both running and out of the backfield. Like the Giants, Oakland has struggled against the run this season. With a running game, Philip Rivers (three TDs last week) is capable of moving the offense. The Chargers are trying to snap an 0-7 ATS streak in their last seven late afternoon starts but the road team has covered the last five games of the series. IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Chargers and the over.
