Reince in hot seat
SPECIAL COUNSEL Robert Mueller’s investigators interviewed former White House chief of staff Reince Priebus on Friday.
Priebus’ lawyer, William Burck, said the one-time Trump administration staffer sat down willingly with Mueller’s team.
“Mr. Priebus was voluntarily interviewed by Special Counsel Mueller’s team today. He was happy to answer all of their questions,” Burck said.
Mueller’s wide-ranging probe into Russian meddling in the presidential election and potential collusion with President Trump’s campaign has haunted the West Wing for months.
Priebus stepped down as chief of staff in July, one of a string of high-profile departures from Trump’s tumultuous first few months in office.
