COURTNEY LOVE HAD ISSUED AN EARLY WARNING

-

OUTSPOKEN SINGER Courtney Love warned women away from Harvey Weinstein as far back as 2005, according to an old video that surfaced Saturday. In a red carpet interview from 17 years ago, Love is asked by comedian Natasha Leggero if she has any advice for young women moving to Hollywood. “I’ll get libeled if I say it,” Love tells the camera, in footage obtained by gossip site TMZ. But then Love follows through with her typica l bluntness. “If Harvey Weinstein invites you to a private party at the Four Seasons, don’t go,” she says in the video. It is unclear if Love had an encounter with Weinstein or if she heard rumors or first-hand accounts from other women. She made the comments on her way into a Comedy Central roast of Pamela Anderson. Years later, in 2012, Love was pictured with Weinstein at the Sunset Tower Hotel. Dozens of women have come forward recently to accuse Weinstein of sexual harassment and rape. The famous producer’s public unraveling started last week when several actresses shared their stories with the New York Times. Weinstein, 65, has taken refuge in an Arizona rehabilitation center.
