What do Alan Hahn and Szczerbiak do when commercials air during MSG’s Knicks studio show? They put their pom-poms away and rip the Knicks. Sunday night (Knicks-Nets), as MSG was going to a halftime commercial, the analysts didn’t know their microphones were live when Hahn suggested they had enough ammo to rip Kristaps Porzingis.

“The other thing you could do is kill Porzingis for being minus-20 in 16 minutes,” Hahn said to Szczerbiak during the commercial break at halftime. “Dude, like come on man. You’re a star. This is what you’re doing out? You’re just out there?”

Good stuff. Would’ve been even better if Hahn had the rocks to say it on the air. Hahn says he will have no problem offering similar strong commentary when he is officially on. Good luck on speaking the truth while cashing a Gulag paycheck.
