THEY’RE FANS of the Astros — and of New York.

Shortly before the Yankees game began Tuesday in the Bronx, Astros fans reflected on their presence in enemy territory.

Tex Schope, 11, of Fort Worth, Tex., took two days off school to see the game with his dad, Jared, 49.

“It’s awesome,” said Tex, himself a Little League player. “I’ve always wanted to come to Yankee Stadium. So far, it’s been great.”

Tex hoped for a game that would be tight into the ninth inning, following the Astros’ 8-1 loss on Monday.

He got his tight game, just not the ending he hoped for — the Bombers erased a four-run deficit in the seventh and eighth innings to win it 6-4.

“An unbelievable game,” said Yankees fan Tanya Johnson, 33, of Brooklyn. “I almost had a heart attack after those Astros runs. But (Aaron) Judge resuscitated me.”

Moulay Yacoubi, 50, a hair stylist and fashion designer who lives near Central Park, said he took a day off to see his beloved team play.

“I’ve been a Yankee fan since 1995, when I came to America from Europe. My boss explained to me baseball and I fell in love,” he said. “I told my boss I am not coming in. This is too important.”

Another Yankees fan, a 25-yearold man from Astoria, chalked the win up to his choice in socks.

“These are my Reggie Jackson socks,” said the fan, who wouldn’t share his name. “One guy wears his lucky socks and the next thing you know, we’re on the way to the World Series.”
