Durst coverup claim
LAWYERS representing the family of Robert Durst’s first wife Kathie claim the NYPD covered up evidence of his involvement in her death, records show.
Kathie Durst disappeared in February 1982. Durst, 74, a scion of a wealthy real estate family, has long been a suspect.
The allegations were part of a Freedom of Information lawsuit filed Thursday against the NYPD.
The lawyers claims the department completely and utterly “failed to meaningfully investigate her disappearance,” their lawyer, Robert Abrams, wrote.
They also allege that Durst had real-time inside information about the probe.
