It probably wasn’t the most reassuring thing for the Astros to go into Game 7 asking Morton, the Game 3 loser, to shut down the Yanks. They tried to bolster themselves with the idea that Dallas Keuchel could come out of the bullpen, but they didn’t need it. Morton delivered five fantastic innings striking out five for the win.
