Fry him, says ’04 victim as rapist will rot
OVER A DOZEN years after a career criminal raped a 68-year-old woman in her Brooklyn home, he came face to face with his victim — and she said he deserved the electric chair.
Willie Weathers (photo), 47, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for the 2004 rape of a woman in Fort Greene whose husband had just left for church. DNA linked him to the crime in 2013.
Weathers’ victim — now 82 — addressed her attacker in Brooklyn Supreme Court and said the prison term wasn’t tough enough.
“He’s going to come and do the same thing again . . . You're supposed to put him in a place for life. And also, I think it would be even better to do the electric chair,” said the woman, whose remarks in Spanish were translated by an interpreter.
Weathers is currently serving a 10-year sentence for attempted kidnapping. His latest conviction means he won’t be eligible for parole until 2055.
