‘Lott’ more in the pot
AND THE Mega Millions winner is . . . not you. At least not yet.
Lottery aficionados hoping for a big Mega Millions payday will soon have to fork over twice as much for a shot at a jackpot.
The cost of a Mega Millions ticket will rise to $2 beginning Saturday. Starting jackpots will more than double — from $15 million up to $40 million and the jackpots will grow faster as well.
Players of the multistate lottery can also shell out $3 for two chances at a “Just the Jackpot” win.
