NAACP blasts airline

- Terence Cullen

THE NAACP IS warning AfricanAmerican travelers not to fly on American Airlines after a “pattern of disturbing incidents.”

The advisory says AfricanAmerican fliers reported unfair treatment by the airline several times in the last few months. Travelers should “exercise caution, in that booking and boarding flights on American Airlines could subject them disrespectful, discriminatory or unsafe conditions.”

In one case, a Boston woman was kicked off an Atlanta to New York flight Aug. 21 after protesting when the crew wouldn’t give her her infant’s stroller when the plane returned to the terminal after a five-hour delay.
