A STTATEN ISLAND man went on a bizarre two-day spree, apparently over parking, torching a van outside his home on tree-lined street and then shooting into the houses of two neighbors, police said.

No one was injured in Bartolomiej Kowalczyk’s mini-crime wave on Monday and Tuesday, according to police.

But the 36-year-old ended up in handcuffs on arson and other charges.

“I don’t know why he would do any of this,” said the wife of the van’s (photo right) owner, who asked that her name not be used.

“He torched my husband’s vehicle. He slashed three tires of my car. Plus he did damage to my motorcycle.”

The woman said she had previously complained to Kowalczyk about his parking habits on Venice Ave., near Richmond Road, in their Todt Hill neighborhood.

“He blocked my parking,” she said. “I told him he couldn’t do that. I told him next time he does that, I’m going to call the police so they can ticket or tow him.” She added, “I hope they lock him up for good.” One of the neighbors whose house was shot at expressed similar shock over the unhinged man’s behavior.

“We don’t know him. They said he was crazy,” he said. “He has to be, anyone who does something like this. I don’t know him at all.”

Kowalczyk started the spree by allegedly slashing the tires of the van outside his home early Monday.

The woman who owned the van called 911 at about 1:40 a.m. and said the vehicle was on fire.

“I was sleeping when it happened,” she said.

“I wake up and I see the Fire Department and the police everywhere.”

At 10:10 a.m., cops said, Kowalczyk fired a bullet into the front door of a two-family house five blocks away on Richmond Road, as a married couple cooked in their kitchen.

They heard the glass shatter and called 911. Cops found a bullet lodged in a wall.

On Tuesday at 9:10 a.m., Kowalczyk blasted another bullet into a Rome Ave. home, where a couple in their 70s live, authorities said.

The home is three blocks from Kowalczyk’s house, and the couple told cops they don’t even know the man.

Kowalczyk was charged with arson, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief and illegal weapons possession.
