‘Jane Doe’ preps $4M Harvey suit

AN UNIDENTIFIED actress has prepared a $4 million lawsuit against Harvey Weinstein, his former assistant, Miramax and Disney over claims the movie mogul sexually assaulted her in Canada after plucking her from a movie set, the Toronto Sun reported.

The woman, identified only as Jane Doe, says Weinstein, 65, attacked her twice inside Toronto’s Sutton Place hotel in 2000 when she was in her 20s and filming a small role in a Miramax production, the newspaper said.

In a statement Wednesday, a Disney spokesman said, “We were unaware of any complaints, lawsuits or settlements. There is absolutely no legal basis for this claim against The Walt Disney Co..”

Meanwhile, Weinstein has reportedly filed a demand for arbitration over his firing from The Weinstein Co.
