Harass tale dooms NPR big
A TOP EDITOR with National Public Radio resigned Wednesday amid allegations of sexual harassment.
Michael Oreskes was asked for and gave his resignation to NPR CEO and President Jarl Mohn, the network said.
The NPR news chief was placed on leave Tuesday after two women said he kissed them without permission while they were discussing job prospects with him in the 1990s, when he was at The New York Times.
“I am deeply sorry to the people I hurt,” Oreskes wrote in an internal memo obtained by CNN. “My behavior was wrong and inexcusable, and I accept full responsibility.”
