Killer is ID’d in alley fight: cops

POLICE HAVE identified the shooter who killed a 25-year-old man after losing a fight in a Queens alley last month, authorities said Thursday.

Jonathan Baez, 26, is believed to be the person who fatally shot Karron Alston in an alley off Jackson Mill Road near 94th St. in Jackson Heights on Oct. 12.

Medics rushed Alston to Elmhurst Hospital, where he died.

Baez, of Queens, was meeting a group of men in the alley about 9:50 p.m. when he got into a fight with Alston.

Alston appeared to be getting the upper hand when Baez pulled a gun and fired at his opponent, the sources said.

Baez is described as Hispanic, about 6 feet tall and 220 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to call NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
