CARDINALS at 49ERS
4:05 p.m., Cards by 2, 39½
HANK’S HONEYS: Is this the week Niners finally get first win? Mistakeprone C.J. Beathard makes his final start with Jimmy Garoppolo waiting in the wings and that lame duck situation can’t help matters. Cards had a bye week to prepare for life without Carson Palmer and Drew Stanton hasn’t been all that bad in backup role with a 6-3 record as a starter with Arizona. Niners were getting in under the spread early this season but are coming off back-to-back blowout losses. They are 6-0 ATS in last half dozen divisional games while Cards have lost four straight on road ATS. Even with low number, under seems like a good play anticipating conservative game plans built around Carlos Hyde and Adrian Peterson.
CAN’T HELP YOURSELF? Cardinals and the under.
