Give Chapo psych eval, says his att’y

EL CHAPO needs his head examined.

The Mexican drug kingpin and escape expert is hearing things, depressed, repeats himself and forgets what he’s talking about, according to a new defense filing.

Joaquin (El Chapo) Guzman’s lawyer, A. Eduardo Balarezo, is asking for a court order to get a neuropsych­ologist to thoroughly evaluate his 60-year-old client. Since Guzman’s January extraditio­n from Mexico to a solitary cell in a lower Manhattan lockup, his attorneys have complained about jail conditions. Now, they say his mental state is slipping.
