Newsman is hosting the ASPCA’s Humane Awards, which will honor four legged heroes on Nov. 16 at Cirpiani 42nd St. Rescue, a dog who has helped a Boston Marathon bombing victim recover, will be one of those recognized at the event. Flame the cat, who works with the Belmont Fire Department in South Carolina, will also be recognized for her service. In July, Scarborough stopped doing the 11 p.m. news for NBC, which ended his 42 year run in that gig. He still does the 6 p.m. broadcast.
