Harvey hired murky agents to muzzle vics

- Kate Feldman

DISGRACED MOVIE mogul Harvey Weinstein was so worried about sexual abuse accusations that he hired private investigators to spy on actresses and journalists in recent years, The New Yorker reported Monday.

The 65-year-old creep’s desperate attempts included fake identities and $300,000 “success fees” to operatives who got damning stories killed, according to New Yorker writer Ronan Farrow.

Weinstein’s damage control began in 2016 when he hired Black Cube — staffed by ex-Mossad officers — to quash allegations against him, including the recent blockbuster reports in The New York Times and New Yorker that blew the lid off an alleged pattern of abuse stretching back to the ’70s.

Agents collected information on alleged victims’ personal and sexual histories, as well as psychological profiles, The New Yorker said. One agent used a fake identity to get close to Weinstein accuser Rose McGowan and speak to reporters.

Almost 100 women have accused Weinstein of sexual harassmentand rape. Weinstein has denied all accusations of nonconsensual sex.
