Jeff & probers to talk Russia
ATTORNEY General Jeff Sessions is scheduled to testify before the House Judiciary Committee next week as part of its probe into Russia’s meddling in the presidential election.
The Tuesday sitdown will give Democrats the chance to question the former Alabama senator and Trump campaign adviser about a series of recent revelations regarding campaign aides having contact with Russia.
Sessions is facing scrutiny about how much he knew about former campaign aide George Papadopoulos and his promises of Trump access to the Kremlin.
Trump’s top prosecutor has denied several times under oath that he knew of any links between Moscow and Trump surrogates — although he’s reportedly the person who shot down Papadopoulos’ proposal.
