Task force vs. H’wood sex slime
HOLLYWOOD’S top prosecutor announced a new task force Thursday that will examine the wave of sex abuse allegations now rocking the entertainment industry. Los Angeles District Attorney Jackie Lacey unveiled the elite team of veteran sex crimes prosecutors after both the Los Angeles Police Department and Beverly Hills Police announced they were reviewing separate allegations lodged against disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein. The LAPD has also confirmed it’s looking into sexual assault claims made against “Two Girls and a Guy” director James Toback and “Gossip Girl” actor Ed Westwick. “In response to the widespread allegations of sexual abuse in the entertainment industry, I have established a task force of specially-trained deputy district attorneys who are ready to evaluate these cases,” Lacey said.
