‘STAR TREK’ STAR TAKEI ACCUSED OF 1981 GROPE

-

“STAR TREK” icon George Takei has joined the long list of Hollywood heavyweights accused of sexual assault. Former model Scott Brunton on Friday accused the 80-year-old actor of groping him in 1981. Brunton, then 23, had just left his boyfriend, he told The Hollywood Reporter. At Takei’s Los Angeles condo, Brunton said he had two drinks and briefly blacked out. “I was coming to and he had my pants down around my ankles and he was groping my crotch and trying to get my underwear off and feeling me up at the same time, trying to get his hands down my underwear,” Brunton told THR. He told Takei to stop and left, he said. Brunton never reported it but did tell friends, who corroborated his story to THR, the magazine said. Takei was traveling in Australia and not available to comment, his spokeswoman said. Brunton said he decided to speak up after Takei made a statement of support for actor Anthony Rapp, 46, who accused actor Kevin Spacey of making an aggressive pass at him when he was 14.
