2 wounded by gunfire in Harlem
TWO MEN were shot and wounded in Harlem Saturday, cops said.
The victims were blasted on W. 139th St. near Malcolm X Blvd. about 12:45 p.m.
A 25-year-old man was struck in the arm, police sources said. Medics rushed him to Harlem Hospital with a minor wound. Witnesses told police three people fled from the shooting scene.
A 43-year-old man walked into Harlem Hospital, about two blocks away from the scene, reporting he had also been shot. His wound was not life-threatening.
A gun was recovered at the scene, cops said.
No arrests have been made.
There have been 687 shootings citywide this year through Nov. 5 compared to 877 during the same period last year, according to NYPD records.
