McCray said her top priority over the next four years will be making Thrive NYC a success, but said she and de Blasio try not to spend all their down time talking about work.

The pair, who are on vacation this week in Connecticu­t, are currently rewatching the TV series “The Wire.”

“We do often talk about work, but we talk about other things as well. Yeah, we talk about our kids, we talk about our family, we talk about movies or a show we’re watching, or books,” she said.

“We try and make sure that it’s a balance. And we’re going to be working on that even more in the next four years. We need balance.”
