So Sterling Shepard obviously talked trash to Odell Beckham Jr. that Shepard’s onehanded catch last Sunday was better than Beckham’s 2014 grab against Dallas, right?

“Oh, no. He was hatin’ on me yesterday, though, talking mess,” Shepard said Thursday, laughing. “(Beckham was) talking about he thought it hit the ground. But it didn’t. He was just hatin’.”

Shepard’s 11 catches for 142 yards on 13 targets truly made for an impressive performanc­e, though, and it wasn’t just his production. It was also Shepard’s attitude, an angry confidence that stood out in stark contrast to some of his teammates on defense who didn’t share the same energy.
