BOSS TO GET GRILLING

- Jillian Jorgensen

NYCHA CHAIRWOMAN Shola Olatoye will have to answer to the City Council next month. Councilman Ritchie Torres, who leads the committee on public housing, said Friday he’d call an oversight hearing after the Department of Investigation revealed that NYCHA had been falsely certifying that lead paint inspections had been done when they were not conducted for years. “There’s no evidence that there is an epidemic of lead paint exposure in public housing,” Torres said. “That being said, there is evidence that NYCHA essentially lied under oath to the federal government.”
